Easter Friends – Bunny and Chick Card

On my Facebook Live video this week, I used the happy little duck from the Easter Friends stamp set on all of the projects. The stamp set also has a darling bunny and little chick that are also perfect for Easter cards. The Flowering Fields tulip DSP is a perfect springtime background for these images. Here are the directions for a card I made using these stamps.

  • I used Highland Heather for the card base – cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″.
  • Layer onto the left side of the card base a 4 1/8″ x 2 ” piece of Flowering Fields DSP, and a 4 1/8″ x 2 1/4″ piece of coordinating Flowering Fields DSP onto the right side, overlapping the other DSP slightly.
  • Use Soft Suede ink to stamp the bunny image onto a 4″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Color with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Blend Stampin’ Blends. Color the nose with a touch of Dark Polished Pink Blends. Crop with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle die.
  • Layer the stamped piece onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock that has been cropped with the 5th largest Stitched Rectangle die. Attach to the card front with dimensionals.
  • Stamp the chick image with Memento ink onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock. Color with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Color the beak and feet with Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends. Fussy cut the chick and attach it to the card front with a dimensional.
  • Stamp a small greeting of your choice onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and crop with a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies. (For my sample I used a retired stamp – sorry!) Attach to the card front with a dimensional and add a pastel pearl for a little bling.
  • For the inside, stamp the sentiment of your choice onto a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, using Memento ink. I used the sentiment from the Easter Friends stamp set.
  • Use Memento ink to stamp the chick onto the lower-left corner of this piece. Color with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Blends and Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends. Attach the completed piece to the inside of the card.

  • Stamp the chick onto the lower-left corner of the envelope with Memento ink and color like you did before.
