FB Live Recap: Simple Darling Details Card

The stamped images and die cuts from the Darling Details bundle do all the hard work for you! No coloring or fussy cutting required. One of the great things about this stamp set is the distINKtive stamps – meaning they are made to do the shading for you. It’s a two-step process – stamp the outline image first, then stamp the solid image right over the outline using a lighter shade or different color ink. This set also had a number of lovely delicate dies to make frames, leaves, and stems.

You can watch the replay here if you missed the live presentation.

Textured Floral

The Gorgeous Garden Dies make such a great background for any floral card, particularly a more solid type of stamped image. Here I’ve combined it with the Textured Floral bundle. There are a lot of dies with this bundle, so once you have them cropped you can easily build your card. You can check out my other cards on Pinterest for more inspiration.

Here’s how I made this card:

  • The card base is Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Adhere a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper to the card base.
  • Crop a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the flower Gorgeous Garden Die and adhere it to the front with glue. Make sure to add a bit of glue to all the little areas of the die cut so that they don’t get bent when putting the card into an envelope.
  • Using Balmy Blue ink, stamp one each of the three flower images onto scraps of Basic White cardstock and crop with the corresponding dies.
  • Use Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp the larger flower center onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and crop with the corresponding die. Glue onto the largest flower.
  • Use Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp the flower centers to the two smaller flowers.
  • Using Garden Green ink, stamp one large and two smaller leaf bunches onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and crop with the corresponding dies. Glue onto the card front — refer to photo for placement.
  • Crop the three leaf stems from Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, and Parakeet Party cardstock. Glue to the card front — refer to photo for placement.
  • Adhere the largest flower to the card front with dimensionals, then glue the smaller flowers to the card front, slightly tucking them under the large flower.
  • Place a large, medium, and small Glossy Dot on the three sizes of flowers — refer to photo for placement.

For the inside of the card:

  • Adhere a 1/2″  x  5 1/2″strip of Hello Irresistible DSP to a 5/8″ x 5 1/2″ strip of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Adhere to the left side of a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Trim the ends of the strip to match.
  • If desired, stamp a sentiment of your choice on the white cardstock, or leave it blank to write your own message.
  • Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card.

Envelope:

  • Use Balmy Blue ink to stamp the smallest flower to the lower left corner of the envelope.
  • Use Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp the flower center.

FB Live Recap: Two Ways with Dainty Delight

For my Facebook Live video this week, I used the Dainty Delight bundle and paired it with the Nested Essential Dies and Gorgeous Garden Dies. I love how the cards turned out! I originally made the first card using Bubble Bath cardstock as the card base and for the frames; it looks very soft and feminine and I have the perfect person to send it to. For my video, I decided to try a different color and used Melon Mambo, which really pops. Which do you like better?

If you missed the live presentation, you can watch the replay here. Be sure to join me every Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET where I will show you a couple of cards or projects using the latest Stampin’Up! products.

  • Leaf Sprays: Lemon Lime Twist – 6″ x 5″

Earthen Elegance & Countryside Inn DSP

Don’t forget that the Designer Paper sale is still in full swing through the end of June! You can view all of the papers on sale right here. Now’s the perfect time to purchase the Countryside Inn DSP used for this card, or any of the other lovely papers that are on sale.

For this card, I combined the images and die cuts from the Earthen Elegance bundle with the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. I also added a few touches of Distressed Gold specialty paper for a special touch. While I made this a thank-you card, you could leave it blank for a note card or use sentiments to make it fit for any occasion.

Here are the steps to making this card:
  • The card base is Basic White – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Adhere a layer of Boho Blue cardstock which measures 5 3/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • The second layer is a piece of Night of Navy cardstock measuring 5 1/4″ x 3 3/4″
  • The next layer is a piece of Countryside Inn DSP measuring 5″ x 3 1/2″

Now you are ready to build the design!
  • Using the large vase die, crop a vase from a piece of Countryside Inn DSP.
  • Using Boho Blue ink, stamp the small vase image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and crop with the small vase die.
  • Crop another small vase from a different piece of Countryside Inn DSP.
  • Using Boho Blue ink, stamp the small leaves spray image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and crop with the corresponding die.
  • Crop two “palm branches” from Night of Navy cardstock.
  • Use scraps of Distressed Gold Specialty paper to crop the jar top and two twig sprays.
  • Refer to the photo for placement of all the stamped and cropped images and glue in place. Note — the only one I adhered with dimensionals is the stamped Boho Blue vase.
  • If desired, stamp the greeting using Night of Navy ink onto a 3/8″ wide strip of Basic White cardstock, trim the ends as desired and adhere to the card front with mini-dimensionals

For the inside:
  • Adhere a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Boho Blue cardstock to the inside of the card.
  • Use Night of Navy ink to stamp a sentiment onto a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock.
  • Decorate the lower left corner as desired by stamping a couple of the sprigs images using Boho Blue ink and Night of Navy ink.
  • Place a 1/4″ strip of Distressed Gold Specialty paper at the bottom of the Basic White piece, cover the ends of the stamped sprigs, then adhere the finished piece to the inside of the card

Envelope:
  • Stamp one of the sprig images to the lower left corner of the envelope using Night of Navy ink.

Here’s the list of products I used to make this card. If you’d like to take advantage of the Designer Series Paper sale that is happening through the end of June, you can shop with me here.

Simple Countryside Corners Card

Here’s a very pretty yet simple-to-make card using the Countryside Corners bundle and Countryside Inn DSP. The basic card can be made using any of the patterns of designer paper, so it will take on a totally different look. Using various sizes of the dies makes it very easy to make this card.

  • Refer to the photo of the card for the placement of all the cropped pieces.
  • The card base is 81/2″ x 5 1/2″ of Boho Blue, scored at 4 1/4″
  • The first layer is a piece of Basic White, 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
  • Next, adhere a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Countryside Inn DSP onto the card front.
  • Use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the large stamp onto a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock. Use the corresponding dies to crop the large “frame.” Attach to the card front with dimensionals. (You will have to cut the dimensional in half or use the mini dimensionals.)
  • Use BohoBlue ink to stamp the large stamp onto a piece of Boho Blue cardstock. Use the coordinating die to crop the medium size label shape. Use dimensionals to attach to the card front.
  • Use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the large stamp onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. Use the coordinating dies to crop the smaller shapes as seen in the photo. Attach the small white “frame” to the Boho Blue piece using seal or glue.
  • Use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Good Greetings stamp set onto the small cropped label shape. Attach this to the card front using dimensionals.
  • Using the dies from the Timeless Arrangements die set, crop one of the flower stems out of Basic White, and the die that has the “berries” using Misty Moonlight. Trim as needed and attach to the card front, tucking the ends of the stems under the greeting.
  • For the inside, attach a 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strip of Countryside Inn DSP to a 5/8″ x 5 1/4″ strip of Boho Blue, then adhere to the top of a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Stamp a sentiment of your choice or leave blank to write your own message.
