This happy pair are the Best of Friends! This fun and easy to make card will be a big hit with your best friend too!
Cut Cardstock:
- Card base: Terracotta Tile – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Second Layer: Basic Black – 5 1/4″ x 4″, cut two
- Third Layer: Very Vanilla – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″, cut two
- Decorative Strips: Gingham Terracotta Tile Designer Paper – 5 1/8″ x 3/4″, 5 1/8″ x 1/4″
Assembly:
Snail one piece of Basic Black cardstock to the card front.
Using Memento ink, stamp the cow holding the flower from the Over The Moon stamp set onto the left side of a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
Place a piece of tape over the words on the sitting pig stamp from the This Little Piggy stamp set. Ink up the stamp with Memento ink, then remove the tape before stamping the pig next to the cow.
Use Memento ink to stamp the greeting from the Fable Friends stamp set above the pig. Refer to the photo for placement of stamped images.
Color the cow using Dark Smokey Slate, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Petal Pink, Light Calypso Coral, and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends markers. Color the pig with Light and Dark Petal Pink and Dark Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blends markers. Use Light Granny Apple Green and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends markers to color the grass and dirt under the pig.
Snail the 3/4″ strip of Gingham Terracotta Designer Paper to the bottom of the stamped piece. Wind a piece of linen thread twice around the stamped piece just above the Designer Paper strip and tie it into a small bow.
Inside:
Snail the remaining piece of Basic Black cardstock to the inside of the card.
Use Memento Ink to stamp the pig holding the flower from the This Little Piggy stamp set onto the remaining piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Refer to the photo to color the pig using the Light and Dark Petal Pink, Dark Smokey Slate, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Calypso Coral, Light Granny Apple Green and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends markers.
Snail the 1/4″ strip of Gingham Terracotta Tile Designer Paper to the top of the stamped piece, then snail to the inside of the card.
Envelope:
Use Memento ink or a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to carefully apply ink to the flower only of the pig with the flower stamp, then stamp to the lower left corner of the envelope. Color the flower with Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Granny Apple Green, and Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends markers.
