I love it when two separate stamp sets that are beautiful all by themselves can be combined to create something really special! The bird from the Free As A Bird stamp set is perfect for sitting on the flower branch from the Forever Blossoms stamp set.
Cut Cardstock:
- Card Base: Petal Pink – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- First Layer: Whisper White – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, cut two
- Second Layer: Bird Ballad Designer Paper – 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Flowers and Bird: Whisper White – 5″ x 4 1/2″
- Greeting: Scraps of Petal Pink and Whisper White
- Inside Decorative Strips:
- Petal Pink – 5 3/8″ x 5/8″,
- Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper – 53/8″ x 1/2″
Assembly:
Use snail to layer the 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Designer Series Paper onto the 5 3/8″ x 4 1/*” piece of Whisper White cardstock, then layer this onto the card base.
Use Memento ink to stamp the flower branch from the Forever Blossoms stamp set and the large bird from the Free As A Bird stamp set onto the 5″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use Memento ink to stamp the portion of the branch that has the largest flower.
Using Stampin’ Blends markers, color the bird with Light Balmy Blue and Light Pumpkin Pie. Fussy cut the bird with your paper snips. Color the flowers with the Light and Dark Petal Pink and the leaves with the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends markers. Use the corresponding die from the Cherry Blossoms dies to crop the flower branch. Use your paper snips to fussy cut the single flower.
Use dimensionals to attach the flower branch to the card front. You will have to cut some of the dimensionals into smaller pieces to fit the stem portion of the flower branch. Use dimensionals to attach the bird to the card front as if he is sitting on the branch. Use dimensionals to attach the single flower on top of the same flower on the branch. Place a large pearl in the center of this flower. See photo for placement of branch and bird.
Use Memento ink to stamp the ‘Love’ from the Forever Blossoms stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Crop with the smallest die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Use the next largest size die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies to crop a shape from a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock. Layer these pieces with dimensionals, then attach to card front with dimensionals. See photo for placement.
Inside:
Snail the Designer Paper strip to the strip of Petal Pink cardstock, then snail this near the top of the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Use Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto the Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the small flower from the Forever Blossoms stamp set onto the lower left corner of the Whisper White cardstock using Memento ink. Color the flower with the Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’Blends markers.
Snail the completed piece to the inside of the card.
Envelope:
Use Memento ink to the stamp the same flower that you used for the inside of the card onto the lower left corner of the envelope. Color with the Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends marker.
