Daisies have been one of my favorite flowers since childhood. The simple yet elegant flower petals have always had an appeal to me. As an adult, I love daisies and daisy-like flowers in my garden as well. The range of colors and relative ease of care offer a long showing in the garden, as long as the rabbits don’t get them!
This card is the first in a series of ‘daisy’ cards highlighting the single daisy in the Ornate Style stamp set as well as the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper. The Designer Paper is so pretty and is the perfect backdrop for the daisies.

Assembly:
Snail the large piece of green/gold foil Ornate Garden Designer Paper onto one of the 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ pieces of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
Use snail to adhere the triangular piece of small daisy Ornate Garden Designer Paper to the lower left corner of the green/gold foil Designer Paper.
Cut about 7″ of the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and use snail or multipurpose glue to adhere it over the seam of the two designer papers, wrapping the ends around to the back side. Use snail to attach the completed piece to the card front.
Crop the 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock with the fifth largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals dies.
Using Memento ink, stamp the daisy image from the Ornate Style stamp set onto the 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color the leaf with the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends markers and the stem with the Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. Use the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to add just a touch of color to the flower petals; I used the black highlight lines as my guide for this. Use Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to color the flower center.
Crop the daisy with the third largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies, then snail it to the Daffodil Delight scalloped oval. Use dimensionals to attach this to the card front toward the left side and over the ribbon seam.
Use Memento ink to stamp the greeting from the Very Versailles stamp set onto the 5/8″ strip of Whisper White cardstock. Use your paper snips to flag one end and trim the other end. Use a little snail under the left side of the greeting and dimensionals on the center and right side to attach it to the card front. See photo for placement.
Place three small gilded gems randomly on the card front. I used the centers of the gold foil designs as my guide. See photo for placement.
Inside:
Snail the remaining piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock to the inside of the card.
Use Memento ink to stamp the daisy image from the Ornate Style stamp set to the lower left corner of the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color with the Stampin’ Blends as you did for the front of the card.
Use Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the Positive Thoughts stamp set onto this piece. Snail the strip of Designer Paper to the top of this piece. Snail the completed piece to the inside of the card.
 Envelope:
Use Memento ink to stamp the daisy image from the Ornate style stamp set onto the lower left corner of the envelope. Color the flower center with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends marker. Add a touch of Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to the flower petals. Color the leaf with the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and the stem with the Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
I hope you like this card. Stay tuned for more designs using the daisy image and the beautiful Ornate Garden Designer Paper!
