The Poinsettia Dies have a small flower die that’s often overlooked in favor of the larger Poinsettia flower dies. I punched out a couple just for fun and immediately thought about Poinsettia Tree decorations that I’ve seen at shopping malls and conference centers. The die set actually has two of the small flower dies so you can punch out a bunch rather quickly.
This card has very little stamping but instead focuses on the dies and Designer Paper. The bright colors and gold ‘bling’ on this card give it a big ‘wow’ factor and it’s great to make for the special people in your life!

- Envelope: Poinsettia Petals DSP (green design) 5 7/8″ x 2 3/8″
Note: All flowers and sprigs are made with dies from the Poinsettias Dies
Assembly:
Layer one 51/4″ x 4″ piece of DSP onto one of the 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ pieces of Real Red cardstock, then adhere to the card front.
Using the small flower dies from the Poinsettia dies set, crop 20 flowers from scraps of Real Red cardstock. (This doesn’t take that long – I promise!) Use a glue dot to attach one flower on top of a second flower, turning it so that the petals on the top flower are in between the petals on the bottom flower. Repeat for all the flowers so that you have ten tiny Poinsettias.
Use Dimensionals to attach the poinsettias to the card front in a triangle shape, refer to photo for placement. Place a medium Gilded Gem on each flower center.
Use Real Red ink to stamp the greeting from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set onto the small rectangle of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere to the small Gold Foil rectangle with Dimensionals, then use Dimensionals to attach to the card front under the tree – refer to photo for placement.
Crop three sprigs from the Gold Foil Paper scraps using the sprig die. Cut apart the sprigs as desired and place the pieces around the flowers and a few in between the center flowers – refer to photo for placement.
Inside:
Use Real Red ink to stamp a sentiment of your choice to the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. For my card, I chose a sentiment from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set.
Adhere the DSP and Real Red strips together, then attach to the top of the stamped piece, leaving a small white border at the top. Adhere to the remaining piece of Real Red cardstock, then adhere to the inside of the card.
Envelope:
Use Seal or Multipurpose glue to adhere the remaining piece of DSP to the outside flap of the envelope. fussy cut the excess paper off.
