Given that we are only a few short weeks away from Christmas, my Facebook Live video this week was a quick look at how to do the “Scrappy Strip” technique. If you’re still in need of making some last-minute Christmas cards, this technique is perfect. As an added benefit, you’re able to use up all those leftover pieces of Designer Paper that you are so hesitant to throw away! This is also a great technique to use for cards for any occasion at any time of the year.
If you missed the Facebook Live video you can watch the replay here.
Basic requirements are Designer Paper strips of your choice – use a variety of coordinating pieces and coordinating cardstock. The measurements are listed below.
- Card base: Whisper White – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- First layer: Coordinating Color of Cardstock – 5 1/4″ x 4″, cut two
- Designer Paper Strips: Paper of your choice, cut at 4 1/2″ by random size width as noted on video
- Greeting: Whisper White Scrap
- Embellishments: Coordinating Cardstock or Foil Papers cropped as desired.
- Inside Second Layer: Whisper White – 5″ x 3 3/4″
I am not posting a supply list since for this card as I encourage you to use your favorite Designer Papers and Cardstock colors, but if you would like to purchase anything, I invite you to shop with me here. Thank you!
