The new mini-catalog that will be available next week has a new embellishment called Gilded Leafing Embellishment. It produces an effect similar to but different from gold embossing. The look appears much shinier than embossing, and you’re able to cover larger areas. This works especially well with two or three step stamping but can also be used with other methods.
On my Facebook Live video this week I demonstrated two different ways to apply the gilded leafing. If you missed the live video, you can watch the replay here!
If you’ve never worked with gilded leafing, you’ll quickly find out that it is very lightweight, so you must be careful to have as little air movement in the room as possible – no fans or air conditioner running, and don’t cough or sneeze! That being said, it really is fun to work with and the results are stunning. Watch the video for other tips on using this product!
As I mentioned on the video, the best results are obtained with stamp sets that are two-step or three-step. The products used for the gilded leafing are:
- Versamark – #102283
- Heat and Stick Powder – #156110
- Heat Tool – #129053
- Tear & Tape Adhesive – #138995
- Gilded Leafing Embellishment – #154560
