On my October 19th Facebook Live video, I demonstrated the Northern Lights Technique. It’s a fun technique to use and gives stunning results! I’ve used the same technique again on this card, as well as gold and silver embossing. If you need a refresher on how to do the technique, you can view the video here.
- The card base is Misty Moonlight, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
- The first layer is a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″. Using the Northern Lights technique, which is demonstrated here, apply Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and Magenta Madness ink with separate sponges to the upper center portion of the cardstock. Fill in the rest of the cardstock by sponging Misty Moonlight ink onto it to the desired darkness you want.
- Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the bare tree image from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set 5-6 times over the sponged piece.
- Make sure that all of the sponged ink has dried, then stamp the tiny dots image from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set several times over the top of the trees using Versamark ink. Apply Silver Emboss Powder, then set with the heat tool. Adhere this piece to the card base.
- Use Versamark ink to stamp the greeting from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set onto a 5/8″ strip of Basic White cardstock. Apply Gold Emboss Powder, then set with the heat tool. Use your paper snips to flag the ends of the strip.
- Using Versamark ink, stamp the tree image from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock. Apply Gold Emboss Powder, then set with the heat tool. Fussy cut the tree and then adhere to the card front with dimensionals. Adhere the greeting to the card front with dimensionals, tucking the left side under the tree, Refer to photo for placement.
- For the inside, use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the sentiment from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set, and Early Espresso ink to stamp the bare tree image from the Beauty if Friendship stamp set. Adhere the completed piece to the inside of the card.
- Repeat the bare tree image onto the lower-left corner of the envelope using Early Espresso ink.
