On this week’s video, I showed the Two-Tone Flora Bundle and several ways to use the large die. This is a new bundle that will be in the 2023 January–April mini-catalog. The stamp set features several two-step flower stamps as well as a couple of leaf stamps. The coordinating die set has dies to crop the stamped images plus a large floral background die. The Designer Series Paper that coordinates has rather abstract designs in several different colors.
For this card, I used DSP that has various shades of Calypso Coral and Seafoam Green, which I layered onto the card base of Calypso Coral. I cropped Soft Seafoam cardstock with the large die for the next layer. Using Calypso Coral ink, I stamped two of the flower images and did one image with Daffodil Delight ink. The leaves and greeting were stamped with Soft Succulent ink.
This card starts with a base of Soft Succulent cardstock. A DSP layer is adhered to a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock, then layered onto the card front. I again cropped Seafoam Green cardstock with the large die, but this time trimmed about half of the die cut away before gluing it onto the card front. I used one of the leaf sprigs that was cut away to embellish the greeting, which was stamped on Basic White cardstock and layered onto Evening Evergreen cardstock.
A white-on-white card is very elegant for a sympathy card, and the large die from this set is perfect for accomplishing that. Simply adhere the Basic White die cut to a Basic White cardstock base, then add a greeting and a white flower where the detail was stamped with Smoky Slate. The large flower image from this set fits perfectly over the large flower in the die cut.
There are lots of other ideas I have for the Two-Tone Flora bundle that are currently floating around in my head, but I intend to put them on paper very soon and I’ll be sharing those ideas with you!
