Apparently, Pantone is the premier decision maker for the “color of the year,” and this year, they have decided that Viva Magenta is the color for 2023. While we normally think of magenta as being a bright pinkish purple a bit on the dark side, for the purposes of fashion and home decor, it encompasses many different shades — ranging from the bright, almost fluorescent pink to the subtle, softer shades of pink. I even got an email from a seed catalog company telling me about flower seeds to order that were the color “Viva Magenta!”
In honor of the color of the year, I decided to design some cards using the color Melon Mambo with the Beautifully Happy stamp set.
If you missed the live presentation, you can watch the replay here. Also, check back here on Saturday for directions for another Beautifully Happy Melon Mambo thank-you card that’s very quick to make.
