I used the Beautifully Happy stamp set on my Facebook Live video this week to show you how quickly you can make beautiful cards. The distINKtive stamps included in the set used to color the stamped images make coloring and shading a breeze. If you missed the live presentation, you can watch the replay here.
Keeping in line with Pantone’s color of the year, Viva Magenta, I’ve designed another card using the Beautifully Happy stamp set. It’s very simple but pretty and makes up very quickly.
Please note — I found it easier to place the silicone craft sheet under my cardstock to be stamped. The stamped images came out nicer.
- The card base is Basic White, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- The second layer is a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Melon Mambo cardstock embossed with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder.
- Layer a 5 3/8″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Country Gingham DSP onto the card front.
- Cut three pieces of Basic White cardstock measuring 1 3/4″ x 1 1/2″, and stamp the small flower onto each of them using Memento ink.
- Using the coordinating stamps, stamp the flower with Melon Mambo and the flower bud and flower base with Granny Apple Green ink. Color the flower center with the coordinating tiny stamp and Daffodil Delight ink, or just use a Daffodil delight Stampin’ Blends marker to color it.
- Layer the stamped flowers onto pieces of Melon Mambo cardstock cut at 1 7/8″ x 1 5/8″, then adhere them to the card front with dimensionals. Refer to the photo for placement.
- Add a medium rhinestone to each of the stamped flower pieces.
- Use Memento ink to stamp the ‘Thank you” onto a 1 1/2″ x 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock and adhere to the card front with dimensionals.
- Layer a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Melon Mambo cardstock onto the inside of the card.
- Stamp a flower like you did for the front onto the lower-left corner of a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.
- If desired, stamp a sentiment of your choice onto this piece, or leave it blank to write your own message, then adhere it to the inside of the card.
- Stamp a small flower onto the lower left corner of the envelope using Memento for the image, Melon Mambo for the flower, Granny Apple Green for the bud and flower base and Daffodil Delight for the flower center.
