In my last Facebook Live video, I was using up some of the Shining Brightly DSP with the Earthen Textures bundle. I received a very positive response to those designs on other card crafting sites as well as on my Pinterest page. With that in mind, here is another card using those same supplies.
If you’d like to recreate this card for yourself, here are the easy directions: (Note – refer to the photo for placement of all pieces)
- Card Base: Basic White – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Cut two pieces of Night of Navy cardstock at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″; adhere one to the card front and one to the inside.
- For the front, cut two coordinating pieces of Shining Brightly DSP, one at 3″ x 5 1/4″ and one at 1″ x 5 1/4″. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
- Using the Earthen Texture dies, crop a small vase from a scrap of Gold Foil paper, then emboss with the Basic 3D fold. Use dimensionals to attach to the card front.
- Crop two of the large leaves from Night of Navy cardstock and the stems from Distressed Gold paper. Arrange these onto the card front and glue in place.
- Place a small gold pearl onto the bottom center of each large leaf.
- For the inside, glue a 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strip of coordinating Shining Brightly DSP onto a 5/8″ x 5 1/4″strip of Night of Navy cardstock. Glue these to the side of a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.
- Stamp a sentiment of your choice onto the cardstock using Night of Navy ink. For my sample, I used a sentiment from the Layering Leaves stamp set. Glue the finished piece to the inside of the card.
- If desired, stamp one of the images from the Earthen Textures stamp set onto the lower left corner of the envelope using Night of Navy ink.
Here is the list of products I used to make this card. Please shop with me here if you would like to purchase any of them. Keep in mind that the Shining Brightly DSP will be retired at the end of December!
