Changing Leaves – Copper and Gold

Here are the directions to make a beautiful card using the Changing Leaves bundle including the hybrid embossing folder. The card is perfect for any autumn occasion! I chose to make it an all-occasion card and left it blank inside to write my own message, but you could easily change the greeting to make it a birthday card, a thank-you card, or even a sympathy card.

  1. Start with a base of Copper Clay cardstock at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.
  2. For the first layer, use the embossing folder to emboss a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic Beige and adhere it to the card base.
  3. Stamp two leaves onto copper clay cardstock, then crop with the large die.
  4. Crop one double leaf, one single leaf, and two sprigs from gold foil paper.
  5. Crop two gold leaf branches from Distressed Gold paper.
  6. Arrange the cropped leaves and sprigs onto the card front.
  7. Glue all of the gold pieces in place, then glue the copper leaves in place.
  8. Using Copper Clay ink, stamp the greeting onto a scrap of Basic Beige cardstock and crop with the larger label die. Attach with dimensionals.
  9. Add a few of the copper colored adhesives sequins to the card front for a little bling.
  10. For the inside, stamp a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock with a sentiment of your choice or leave blank to write your own message. If desired, stamp a leaf in the corner using Copper Clay ink.
