As I mentioned last week, there are so many choices when designing with the Changing Leaves bundle. This week, I made a card with a braided edge and used two of the larger leaf images to decorate the front. I also added some gold foil sprigs to the card for extra bling.
If you missed the live presentation, you can watch the replay here. In the video, I show you how to make a template to use to make the braided edge for the card.
To recreate this card, you need the following cardstock:
- Card Base: Old Olive – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- First Layer: Very Vanilla 5 3/8″ x 3 1/4″
- Second Layer: Crumb Cake – 5 1/4″ x 3 1/8″, embossed with the Leaf Fall EF
- Leaves: Mossy Meadow – 3 1/3″ x 2 1/2″; Copper Clay and Distressed Gold Paper 3″ x 2 1/4″ (one of each)
- Sprigs: Scraps of Gold Foil Paper
- Inside: Very Vanilla – 5 3/8″ x 3 1/4″
If you’d like to recreate this card, in addition to the products listed below, you will need 1/4″ grid paper, a ruler, and a pencil.
