While the Changing Leaves bundle has beautiful stamped leaf images, you can simply use the hybrid embossing folder to make lovely leaves for your projects. For this card, I used the leaves made with the embossing folder and cropped with the coordinating die.
Here are the steps to make this card:
- Make a card base using Crumb Cake cardstock that is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
- Attach a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Crushed Curry card stock to the card base.
- Emboss a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock with the Changing Leaves folder and attach it to the card front.
- Cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and emboss with the Changing Leaves folder.
- Use Blending Brushes to add Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry inks to the leaves. (Refer to photo.) Crop the leaves with the coordinating die.
- Crop the smaller leaves and branch out of Gold Foil Paper.
- Arrange all of the leaves onto the card front and glue in place. Refer to photo for placement.
- Use a glue dot to add a small bow made of linen thread or Baker’s twine to the base of the leaves.
- For the inside, layer a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock to the inside of the card.
- Use Cajun Craze ink to stamp a sentiment of your choice to a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and attach to the inside of the card.
