Looking for a more masculine-looking birthday card? Look no further than the beautiful Woven Textures DSP. There are great designs in neutral colors that are perfect for “guy” cards. This card features the DSP as well as the Textured Notes bundle.
Here’s how to recreate this card:
- Cut a piece of Woven Textures DSP at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and adhere to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base made from Pecan Pie cardstock which has been scored at 4 1/4″.
- Cut three pieces of Early Espresso cardstock and crop with the die from the Textured Notes bundle. Cut three pieces of coordinating DSP measuring 3 7/8″ x 1 3/8″ and adhere to the Early Espresso pieces. Equally space these on top of the card front and glue in place. Refer to photo for placement.
- Cut a piece of Basic Beige cardstock measuring 2 1/2″ x 5/8″. Stamp the textured image using Crumb Cake ink onto this piece several times until it’s covered, then stamp the greeting with Early Espresso ink. For my card I used a Happy Birthday greeting from the Magnolia Mood stamp set, but of course you can use whatever greeting you prefer. Layer this onto a 2 5/8″ x 3/4″ piece of Early Espresso, then use dimensionals to adhere to the card front.
- Stamp the large leafy image twice onto a scrap of Basic Beige cardstock using Crumb Cake ink. Fussy cut the leaves then glue onto the cardfront – refer to photo for placement.
- If desired, place a few brown sequins from the Neutral Sequins pack onto the card front.
For the inside of the card:
- Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the sentiment onto a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock. This card has a sentiment form the Textured Notes stamp set.
- Cut a 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of the DSP used for the card front and adhere it to a 4 1/4″ x 5/8″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock. Adhere this strip onto the inside piece and trim the ends to match the cardstock.
- Adhere the inside piece to the inside of the card.
