Pretty In Pink Textured Notes

When I saw the Textured Notes bundle and coordinating Woven Textures DSP, I saw it as mostly neutral tones and more masculine-looking designs. In fact, I’ve designed a masculine birthday card using these products, which I’ve already posted on this blog. I challenged myself to make a card that was more feminine looking, so I used Pretty in Pink cardstock and ink and white cardstock. I think it did turn out super feminine looking. What do you think?

If you’d like to recreate this card, here’s how:
  • The card base is Basic White, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
  • Cut a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″,  crop with the large Textured Notes die, and adhere to the card front.
  • Crop a 4 1/2″ x 3″ piece of Basic White cardstock and crop with the Textured Notes die.
  • Use Pretty in Pink ink to stamp the small leaf image twice toward the right top and twice to the left bottom of this piece with the stems pointed toward the center. Ink the stamp again, stamp off once on scrap paper, then stamp the image toward the left side at the top. Repeat and stamp toward the right bottom. Adhere this piece to the card front.
  • Use Pretty in Pink ink to stamp the greeting from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set onto a 3″ x 2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, then crop with the small label die from the Thoughtful Expressions bundle. Adhere to the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside:
  • Adhere a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock to the inside of the card.
  • Use the large die from the Textured Notes bundle to crop a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. If desired, stamp a sentiment on this piece, or leave blank to write your own message.  Adhere to the inside of the card.
