Amber Autumn with Leaf Background

This was the very first card I made using the Amber Autumn Bundle. I thought the large leaf background die would make a lovely backdrop for one of the images from the stamp set.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

I cropped the leafy background from a piece of Splendid Autumn DSP and layered it onto a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla which had been embossed with the Gathering Leaves embossing folder. Adhere this to the card base.

I stamped the pumpkin image onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Versamark ink, then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I colored the stamped image using ink and a Waterpainter. If you don’t have a Waterpainter you can use a fine paint brush with water. The colors I used for the pumpkins are Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie for the stems, Crushed Curry and Old Olive for the gourd, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake for the corn, and Cajun Craze for the leaves. I used the heat tool to make sure the image was completely dry before cropping with the corresponding die. I attached the image to the card front using Dimensionals.

I also cropped a wheat stem from a scrap of gold foil paper and tucked it under the pumpkin image.

I gold embossed the greeting onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, fussy cut it and attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

For the inside, stamp a sentiment of your choice on 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and adhere to the inside of the card. Stamping your sentiment with gold embossing powder will coordinate with the gold embossing on the front of the card.
