Rustic Centerpiece – Z-fold Christmas Card

The Rustic Centerpiece stamp set has three beautiful images, one of which is lovely for your Christmas cards. It has a bit of a nostalgic look to it which I really love for the holidays. I placed the image on a background of Season of Elegance DSP and added it to a Z-fold card base.

For this card, I stamped the image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock with Versamark ink, heat embossed it with gold, colored with Stampin’ Blends markers and fussy cut the image. The colors I used to color the image are Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the deer, Light Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie for the wood slab, Light and Dark Real Red for the candle and holly berries, Dark Daffodil Delight for the candle flame, Light and Dark Balmy Blue for the tree bucket, Light and Dark Shaded Spruce for the tree and holly leaves.

The card base is Basic White cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″. The panels for the base are Garden Green, the inside is 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and the two small panels are 5 3/8″ x 2″.

For the inside small panel, I embossed the cardstock with the Painted Trees 3D embossing folder for added interest.

For the card front, I adhered a 5″ x 3″ piece of Season of Elegance DSP to a 5 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of Gold Foil, then adhered this to the front panel – be sure to put glue or tape runner only on the left side of the piece when adhering it to the panel! The Fussy cut image is placed on the front with dimensionals.

Add a few red rhinestones or sequins to the tree to complete the front.

For the inside, stamp your favorite sentiment using Real Red ink onto a 5″ x 3″ piece of Basic White cardstock, then adhere to the inside.

I used a sentiment from the retired Christmas Messages stamp set and added a little tree from the retired Merry Moose stamp set for the inside of my card.
