Video Recap – Top-flap Christmas Cards

One simple cut to your card base will give you a card where you can see part of the card front design on the inside. I’ll show you how in my YouTube video which you can view here:[https://youtu.be/C4oqb1HZjgI]

While I used this design to create Christmas cards, you could use it to make cards for any occasion depending on the stamp set you use.

For the card using the A Child Is Born set, the greeting that you see on the card front will also be viewed from the inside:

Cardstock dimensions for this card:

• Card Base: Misty Moonlight OR Night of Navy – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and cut a 1 1/4″ strip off of the top of the front.
• First Layer Front: Boho Blue – 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
• Stamped Layer Front: Basic White – 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
• Inside First Layer: Boho Blue – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
• Inside Second Layer: Basic White – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
• Sheep: Scraps of Basic White
• Star: Scrap of Silver Foil

For the Joyful tidings card, the embellishments at the top of the card will also show on the inside of the card:

Cardstock dimensions for this card:

• Card Base: Garden Green – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and cut  1 1/4″ strip off of the top of the front.
• First Layer Front: Basic Beige 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″, emboss with Birchwood 3D folder
• Gold mat: Gold Foil 4″x 4″, cropped with Deckled Circle die
• Stamped Layer: Basic White – 4″ x 4″, cropped with Deckled Circle die
• Pine Branches, Berries and Pinecone Embellishments – Scraps of Old Olive, Real Red, Gold Foil
• Inside Layer: Basic White – 5 1/4″ x 4″

The supplies used for these cards are listed below. For the A Child Is Born card, I used two retired stamp sets for the sentiments, Night In Bethlehem and Gentle Peace. If you do not have these sets, use sentiments that you have in other sets.
