Easter Greetings

This sweet Easter card with the book-binding funfold was made using the Delicate Whispers bundle, the bunny and greeting from the Storybook Friends bundle and the eggs are from a retired set called Basket Bunch.

To make the simple book-binding card base, cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock at 11″ x 4 1/4″, score at 5 1/2″ and 4 1/2″. Fold in half on the score line, then back on the second score line. Adhere the area on the left side to the inside.

The first layers to place on the narrow left side and the larger right side are Fresh Freesia, cut at 4 1/8″ x 7/8″ and 4 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.

Use the Lovely and Beautiful DSP to cut the next layers at 4″ x 3/4″ and 4 1/4″ x 4″

The flowered stems are stamped and cropped images from the Delicate Whispers bundle. I stamped mine on Basic White with Granny Apple Green ink, then colored the flowers with Dark Peach Pie Blends marker and the leaves with the Dark Granny Apple Green Blends marker. I used dimensionals to attach them to the card front.

I cropped the ‘grass’ from Granny Apple Green cardstock using the die from the Basket Builder bundle then brushed a little Granny Apple Green ink on it to give it a textured look. This was glued on top of the flower stems.

The bunny was stamped with Pecan Pie ink onto a scrap of Basic Beige cardstock using the image from the Storybook Friends bundle. I added a little Light Crumb Cake Blends marker to the body and Light Pretty In Pink Blends marker to the inside of the left ear. I glued this to the middle bottom edge of the grass.

Using the small eggs die from the Basket Builder I cropped several eggs from Lovely and Beautiful DSP and Flight and Airy DSP. Any pretty pastel cardstock or DSP would be a good substitute.  Three eggs were glued to either side of the bunny.

The greeting was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink onto a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock,  cropped with a die from the retired Ornate Frames die set, then attached with dimensionals.

The inside is layered with a 4 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock then Basic White cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 4″which was stamped with a sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink. The sentiment I used is from the retired Easter Friends stamp set. I the glued three eggs to the lower left corner.
