“These Little Piggies” Tutorial Series: When Pigs Fly

This is the final notecard in my series of This Little Piggy notecards. Looking at the happy expression the little pig on this card has, one would never question whether pigs fly!

Cut Cardstock:
Assembly:

Emboss one piece of Highland Heather cardstock with the Sparkle embossing folder, then snail to the card front.

In order to stamp the flying piggy without having the words on the image, you will need to cover the words with a piece of tape before adding the ink to the stamp. Then remove the tape before you stamp onto the piece of 3″ x 2 1/2″ of Whisper White cardstock.

Using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, gently color the stamped image. I used Calypso Coral for the pig, Daffodil Delight for the wings, and Bermuda Bay for the sky.  I used the Basic Gray pencil at full strength for the hooves. Snail the stamped image onto the piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, then use dimensionals to adhere to the card front slightly askew.

Cut out two small cloud shapes from Sparkle Glimmer Paper using the small cloud from the Up and Away thinlits. Use dimensionals to adhere the clouds to the sky background of the stamped image. Refer to the photo for placement.

Inside:

Snail the remaining piece of Highland Heather cardstock to the inside of the notecard, then snail the 4 5/7″ x 3 1/8″ of Whisper White cardstock to the inside as well.

I hope you enjoy making this series of notecards. They are great for dropping a quick note to someone and will be sure to make them smile. Make a couple sets to have on hand when you need a small gift for someone – handmade, practical and cute!
