These sailboats evoke memories of lazy summer days at the lake. The accents made with other stamps in the Sailing Home stamp set are perfect accompaniments to complete the card.
Cut Cardstock:
- Card Base: Whisper White – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- First Layer: Night of Navy – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. cut two
- Second Layer: Pool Party – 5 1/4″ x 4″, cut two
- Decorative Blue Strip: Night of Navy – 5 1/4″ x 1″
- Decorative Strip Layer: Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 1″
- Fifth Layer: Night of Navy – 2 7/8″ X 3 3/8″
- Stamped Layer: Whisper White – 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″
- Anchor: Whisper White – 2 1/4″ x 1 3/4″
- Inside Stamped Layer: Whisper White – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Assembly:
Snail one 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock to the card base. Emboss one of the pieces of Pool Party cardstock with the High Seas 3D embossing folder and snail to the card front.
Using Memento ink, stamp the knotted rope image from the Sailing Home stamp set onto the ends of the strip of Whisper White cardstock. See photo for placement. Snail this piece to the Night of Navy strip, then snail to the card front.
With Pool Party ink, use the wavy lines stamp from the Lily Pad Lake stamp set and stamp several times onto one 3 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.
With Memento ink, stamp one large and one small sailboat from the Sailing Home stamp set over the Pool Party wavy lines – see photo for placement. Use Memento ink to stamp the bird image from the Sailing Home stamp set above the sailboats.
Color the sailboats with Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker, or if you prefer, a contrasting color. Snail this piece to the 3 3/8″ x 2 7/8″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock, then use dimensionals to attach to the card front. See photo for placement.
Use Memento ink to stamp the anchor from the Sailing Home stamp set into the 2 1/4″x 1 3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use the coordinating die from the Smooth Sailing framelits to cut out the anchor, or cut out with your paper snips. Snail the anchor onto the card front to the left of the sailboats.
Inside:
Snail the remaining piece of Night of Navy cardstock to the inside of the card. Snail the remaining piece of Pool Party cardstock to the inside of the card.
Use Memento ink to stamp one small sailboat to the lower left side of the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color the sailboat with the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker.
Use Memento ink to stamp the birds onto the upper right corner of this piece. Use Memento ink to stamp the sentiment of your choice on this piece, then snail to the inside of the card. The sentiment I used is from the Sailing Home stamp set.
Envelope:
Use Memento ink to stamp the small sailboat from the Sailing Home stamp set to the lower left corner of the envelope. Color the sailboat with the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker.
