Gold accents and flowers with shades of purple make this card extra special!
Cut Cardstock:
- Card Base: Highland Heather – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- First Layer: Ornate Garden Designer Paper (gold flowered) – 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Gold Layer: Gold Foil Paper – 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
- Stamped Layer: Shimmery White Cardstock – 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
- Inside Layer: Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Decorative Strip Matt: Highland Heather -4″ x 5/8″
- Decorative Strip: Ornate Garden DSP (gold flowered) – 4″ x 1/2″
Assembly:
Using Versamark ink, stamp the large flower bouquet from the Ornate Style stamp set to the 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. Sprinkle with Gold Emboss Powder and set with heat tool.
Color the flowers as desired. I used an Aqua Painter with Highland Heather ink to color the small flowers and Gorgeous Grape ink to color the two larger flowers. Vary the intensity of the ink to give the flowers slightly different shades of purple. I used a Highland Heather Stampin’ Write marker to color the daisies to add yet another shade of purple. I colored all of the flower centers with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend marker and used the Mint Macaron Combo Stampin’ Blends to color the leaves.
Use the corner rounder punch to trim the corners of the stamped piece and the gold foil piece.
Layer the stamped piece onto the gold foil piece with dimensionals. Adhere this piece to the Ornate Garden gold flowered designer paper, slightly to the upper right edge.
Tie a piece of Gold Metallic Edge ribbon around this piece and tie into a bow toward the left side. See photo for placement. Use snail to adhere the completed piece to the card front.
Inside:
Use snail to adhere the gold flowered strip of Designer Paper to the Highland Heather strip of cardstock. Adhere this to the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use Gorgeous Grape ink to stamp the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions stamp set onto this piece.
Use Versamark ink to stamp the small flower from the Ornate Style stamp set to the lower left side of the inside piece. Sprinkle with Gold Emboss powder and set with heat tool.
Color the leaves with the Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends markers. Color the flower center with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends marker. Color the flower with Highland Heather ink using the Aqua Painter.
Use snail to adhere the completed piece to the inside of the card.
Envelope:
Use Versamark ink to stamp the small flower from the Ornate Style stamp set to the lower left corner of the envelope. Sprinkle with Gold Emboss powder and set with heat tool. Color as you did for the flower on the inside of the card.
