Simply Elegant Detailed Pumpkins

Adding to my series of cards made with the Pretty Pumpkin bundle, I’ve used some of the detailed pumpkin dies as well as the detailed pumpkin stamp to make this card. Pairing it with the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper and adding a touch of gingham ribbon really make it especially elegant! This card would be appropriate for a Fall birthday card, Thanksgiving card, or just a card to keep in touch.

Here’s the cardstock you will need for this card:
  • Card Base: Basic Black – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  •  First Layer: Very Vanilla – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, cut two
  • Second Layer: Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper – 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Pumpkins: Scraps of Black Glimmer Paper, Copper Foil, and Very Vanilla
  • Inside Strips: Basic Black – 4 1/8″ x 3/4″;  Very Vanilla – 4″ x 5/8″; Simply Elegant DSP – 4″ x 1/2″

Assembly:
  • Layer the large piece of Designer Series Paper onto one of the pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock. Adhere a length of Black and White Gingham Ribbon around the front of this piece folding it around to the back side. Refer to photo for placement. Adhere this piece to the card base.
  • Crop the tall detailed pumpkin out of Black Glimmer Paper. Crop the smaller pumpkin from the Copper Foil. Stamp the detailed pumpkin image onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Pumpkin Pie ink. Glue the black pumpkin onto the card front. Use dimensionals to attach the other two pumpkins to the card front. Refer to photo for placement of pumpkins.
  • Make a small bow with a piece of the Black and White Gingham ribbon and attach to the black pumpkin just under the stem with a glue dot.
  • For the inside, stamp the greeting onto the remaining piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Pumpkin Pie ink.
  • Layer the Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Simply Elegant DSP near the top of the piece. Attach the completed piece to the inside of the card.
  • If desired, stamp a pumpkin or leaf image to the lower-left corner of the envelope.
