FB Live Recap: Color & Contour Cards Plus a Mini Triangle Treat Box

The Color & Contour bundle is one of the new products in the annual catalog that I purchased a few months ago but haven’t played with until this week. The images in it are quite simple but are very pretty, and you can choose to use the solid stamps to color your images or just use the coloring tools of your choice to color the flowers.

For my samples, I used Stampin’ Blends to color the pink flower and leaves. For these projects, I also used some of the different patterns of the Expressions in Ink DSP as well as Gold Foil to embellish each card and the treat box. One thing that I love about the treat box is that it only takes one 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Paper to make the box, and they make up very quickly!

For the pink flower card you will need the following cardstock:
  • Card Base: Magenta Madness – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • First Layer (front): Expression in Ink Designer Series Paper – 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Stamped Piece: Basic White – 4 1/4″ x 3″
  • Embellishments: Scraps of Magenta Madness, Expressions in Ink (dark green/foil), Gold Foil
  • Inside Layer: Basic White – 5 1/4″ x 4 “
  • Inside Strips: Magenta Madness – 4″ x 3/4″;  Expressions in Ink DSP – 4″ x 5/8″

For the cards with the three flowers you will need the following cardstock:
  • Card Base: Pale Papaya – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • First Layer (front): Expressions in Ink DSP (Pale Papaya print) – 5 3/8″ x 3 1/2″
  • Flowers: Basic White – 2 1/4″ x 6 1/2″
  • Leaves: Gold Foil scraps
  • Inside Layer: Basic White – 5 1/3″ x 4 1/8″
  • Inside Strips: Pale Papaya – 5 3/8″ x 5/8″; Expressions in Ink DSP – 5 38″ x 1/2″

Here’s what you need for the mini triangle treat box:
  • Designer Series Paper – 6″ x 6″, score at 7/8″, 2 1/2″,4″ 5 1/2″; turn and score the next side at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/2″.  For this project, I used one of the flowered patterns of Expressions in Ink DSP, but you can make it using any 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP that you like. It’s a great way to use up some of your stash!
  • Greeting: Scrap of Basic White
  • Leaf: Scraps of Gold Foil
