Here’s a very simple but cute Halloween card made with the little spider image from the Frightfully Cute stamp set. I added some red rhinestones for a little bling as well as the gingham ribbon and Cute Halloween DSP.
To make the card front, use Memento ink to stamp the spider image four times on a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, staggering the images. Refer to the photo for placement. Use a black marker to draw a black line upward from the spider’s silk. Layer a 4″ x 1 1/2″ piece of multicolor dotted Cute Halloween DSP to the top of this piece, covering the ends on the spider’s silk. Stamp the greeting onto the bottom right side using Pumpkin Pie ink.
Layer the stamped piece onto a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock. Tie a piece of the Black and White gingham ribbon around this piece over the seam of the DSP. Adhere this to a card base of Pumpkin Pie which is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
Add small red rhinestones for the spiders’ heads.
For the inside of the card, layer a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8 piece of Basic Black cardstock to the inside of the card. Stamp the sentiment onto a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock using Pumpkin Pie ink. Stamp two spiders to the upper left side of this piece using Memento ink.
Adhere a 1/2″ x 4″ matching strip of DSP to the top of the stamped piece. Adhere the completed piece to the inside of the card.
For the envelope, use Memento ink to stamp the spider image onto the lower left side of the envelope.
Stay tuned for more Halloween cards and project ideas coming in the next few weeks!
