I was having a lot of fun playing with the Honeybee Home bundle this week. I hope you saw the three cards that I made on my Facebook Live video – if not, you can watch the replay here.
I wanted to share another idea with you that uses the three little bees from this bundle. Paired with the Hive 3D embossing folder and the Daffodil Afternoon DSP, the little bees look like they are ready to fly off the card! I love that this is another great use of the free Designer Series Paper that is available until the end of this month as a Sale-a-bration choice.
The card is easy to make and can be used for any occasion depending on what sentiment you stamp inside.
Here are the directions:
- The Card Base is a piece of So Saffron cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Layer onto the card base a piece of the Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper, which is cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Cut a piece of So Saffron cardstock at 5 3/8″ x 2 1/4″ and emboss it with the Hive 3-D embossing folder. Adhere this to the front of the card in the center.
- Stamp each of the three bee images onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Memento ink. Color the bee bodies with Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends marker. Crop each bee with the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Adhere the bees to the card front with dimensionals. (Refer to photo for placement.)
- For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. Stamp a sentiment of your choice onto this piece using Memento ink. For my sample, I used one of the sentiments from the Flowing Flowers stamp set. Use Memento ink to stamp the bees onto this piece to the right and left of the sentiment. Refer to photo for placement. Color the bees with Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends. Adhere the completed piece to the inside of the card.
- For the envelope, Stamp one of the bees onto the lower-left corner of the envelope and color the body with Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends.
