Vintage Sepia Delicate Whispers

The Delicate Whispers bundle is an amazing set with gorgeous images to stamp and color as well as beautiful dies to add several lovely embellishments to your cards and other papercrafting projects. There is also a beautiful set of specialty Designer Papers that coordinate with the set. Some of the flowers on the designer paper can easily be cropped with coordinating dies as well.

I used several of the stamps and dies for this card, plus some heat embossing for added interest.

  • The card Base is a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″.
  • Add a layer of Early Espresso cardstock measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Add a second layer using Basic White cardstock measuring 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • The next layer is where all the stamping happens! Cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock at 5″ x 3 3/4″. Using Crumb Cake ink, use the tiny flowers stamp to stamp an all over pattern onto this piece. You may have to stamp off once before stamping onto the cardstock so that it is a very light background.
  • Stamp a greeting using Early Espresso ink. For this card I used a greeting from the retired Good Greetings stamp set.
  • Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the fronds three times a little left of center. Use Pecan Pie to stamp the same image a little bit lower and off both sides of the darker images. Wait several minutes OR use a heat tool to make sure the stamped images are completely dry.
  • Now, use Versamark ink to stamp the frond image over the other images and heat set with white embossing powder.
  • Crop the small leafy branches and the other sprigs from Pecan Pie cardstock. Arrange and glue these over the stamped images. You may need to trim the branches at the bottom edge of the cardstock.
  • Tie a piece of linen thread around the cardstock toward the bottom of the stamp images & die cuts, then attach to the card front.
  • For the inside, adhere a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Use Pecan Pie ink to stamp the fronds onto a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock, then adhere to the inside.

  • If desired, stamp the frond onto the lower left corner of the envelope using Pecan Pie ink.

For this next card, I mainly used the stamps, with a few die cuts added. All of the images were stamped with Versamark, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

  • The card base is Pecan Pie cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
  • A 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock is used for the stamped layer.
  • Use Versamark to stamp the two floral spray images, then heat set with white embossing powder.
  • Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the greeting between the floral sprays.
  • In the same way, stamp & heat emboss three of the smaller flower with leaves images onto a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock, then crop with the corresponding die.
  • Color the leaves with Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’Blends marker and the flowers with Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
  • Glue two of the flowers over the bottom edge of the floral sprays, and use dimensionals to attach the third flower between the other two flowers.
  • Die cut three sprigs from Pecan Pie cardstock and glue to the card front with the ends of the stems under the center flower.
  • Die cut six tiny flowers from Basic White cardstock and glue three on each of the floral sprays.
  • Place a small  In-color 2023-2025 dot in each of the tiny flowers and  larger dots in the stamped flowers.
  • Adhere the finished piece to the card base.
  • For the inside, stamp a sentiment using Early Espresso ink onto a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock. I used a sentiment for the retired Positive Thoughts stamp set.
  • Stamp the flower onto the lower left corner using Pecan Pie ink then color with Light Pecan Pie and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends markers.

If desired, stamp and color the small flower to the lower left corner of the envelope.
