When you want to make a card but are short on time, this is the card for you. The dies from the Seascape bundle and the Seashells embossing folder do all the work for you! It’s a great all-occasion card to say Happy Birthday, I’m thinking of You, Thank You, or whatever you may want to celebrate or acknowledge.

Here’s the cardstock you will need for this card:

• Card Base: Coastal Cabana – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
• First Layer: Soft Sea Foam – 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Small Fish: Scrap of Pool Party
• Seahorse: Basic White – 4″ x 2 1/4″
• Inside Layer: Basic White – 5 1/4″ x 4″

Assembly:

Emboss the piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the Seashells embossing folder. Tie a piece of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon around this piece toward the bottom, then attach to the card base with dimensionals.

Crop two small fish from the Pool Party scrap and attach to the card front with dimensionals. See photo for placement.

Crop the 4″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the Seahorse die. Use Blending Brushes to apply Flirty Flamingo and Fresh Freesia ink to the seahorse. Trim the seahorse away from the cardstock, then attach to the card front with dimensionals.

Inside:

Use Coastal Cabana ink to stamp a sentiment to the remaining piece of Basic White cardstock. For my sample, I used a sentiment from the Welcoming Window stamp set. Using stamps from the Seascape stamp set, stamp the sea kelp onto the lower-left corner of this piece with Mint Macaron ink, which you have stamped off once onto a scrap piece of paper. Add a few of the small fish over the kelp using Coastal Cabana ink which you have stamped off once. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Envelope:

Repeat the design with the sea kelp and small fish onto the lower-left corner of the envelope.

For this card, I combined the Plentiful Plants and Succulent dies to create a pretty hanging succulent pot on a backdrop of the beautiful Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP. I love how simple yet elegant looking it is with the multiple layers!

To make this card, you will need the following cardstock:

• Card Base: Gray Granite – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
• First Layer (front): Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
• First Layer (inside): Basic White – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
• Second Layer: Gray Granite – 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″
• Third Layer: Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP – 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
• Flower Pot: Scrap of Basic White
• Macrame Flower Pot Holder: Scrap of Very Vanilla
• Plants: Scraps of Just Jade, Evening Evergreen, and Mint Macaron
• Inside Strips: Gray Granite – 4 1/8″ x 5/8″,  Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP 4 1/8″ x 1/2″

Assembly:

Adhere the green leafy DSP to the card base. Emboss the Gray Granite cardstock with the Macrame 3D embossing folder and layer it onto the card front using Seal or Multipurpose glue.

Crop the 4 3/4″ x 3 5/8″ piece of DSP with the Large scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours dies and attach it to the card front with dimensionals.

Now to build your hanging pot!

Use Cinnamon Cider ink to stamp the flower pot from the Plentiful Plants stamp set. Crop with the corresponding die. Use Very Vanilla cardstock to crop the macrame pot hanger from the Perfect Plants die set. Crop the small plant from the Perfect Plants dies out of Evening Evergreen cardstock.

Using Just Jade cardstock, crop the succulent from the Succulents dies and the trailing succulent from Mint Macaron cardstock.

Glue the macrame pot hanger to the flower pot.  Arrange the two larger plants on the back of the pot and the trailing plant on the front and glue in place. Use dimensionals to attach this to the card front. Place a matte black dot on the top of the macrame hanger.

Inside: 

For the inside, adhere the DSP strip to the Gray Granite strip, then adhere to the top on the remaining piece of Basic White cardstock. Use Evening Evergreen ink to stamp a sentiment to this piece and then adhere to the inside of the card. The sentiment I used is from the Simply Succulents stamp set.

Envelope:

Use Cinnamon Cider ink to stamp the flower pot onto the lower-left corner of the envelope. Using Evening Evergreen ink, stamp the snake plant image at the top of the flower pot.
