Time4Stamping Tip: Choosing Colors

It’s very easy to look on Pinterest or other crafting sites and ”copy” color combinations when making your cards or other paper crafting items.  But when designing your own project, are you ever at a loss for which colors to choose or which colors coordinate with the Designer Paper you are using?

Here’s a quick tip to help you with that – one that I’d assumed most everyone knows, but recently I’ve been asked multiple times about how to know which colors to use with Designer Paper.

When you order a package of Designer Series Paper, look closely on the back of the white cardboard piece that is in the package with the paper. It tells you the name of the Designer Series Paper, and right under that, in small print, is a list of colors that coordinate with that paper so you know which cardstock or ink colors will work well together. Of course you’re not limited to using only those colors, but it does give you some ideas of what colors are used in the Designer Series Paper. For example, here is the list that is for the Magnolia Lane Designer Paper and the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

Depending on your likes and style, these lists give you a great starting point to coordinate your cardstock or ink with the Designer Paper you are using.

Here are examples of cardstock that match well with the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

Whether you are new or experienced in papercrafting, I hope this quick tip helps you in your project designing!
