FB Video Replay: Magnolia Mood Birthday

Here is the second video I have using the Magnolia Mood bundle, which is an Online Exclusive set available beginning March 5, 2024. In my first video, I used very muted colors and gold foil accents, which created a very elegant-looking card. In this video, I used the brighter colors of Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia paired with the Poetic Expressions DSP.

I still think this card looks very elegant too, so perhaps it’s the stamped images that create the elegance for the card! You can watch the video demonstration for this card here.

FB Video Replay: Simply Zinnia

How’s this for exciting news? There’s going to be a new Online Exclusive suite available on March 5 that I know will become one of my favorites! The Simply Zinnia stamp set has realistic flower images plus a coordinating die set, embossing folder, and Designer Paper.

For my first play with the set, I wanted to show how to color the images with Stampin’Blends markers. You can watch the video here. I chose shades of pink and purple for this card. The great thing about zinnias is that they come in so many different colors, so you can choose your favorite shades to color the flowers. Switch out the cardstock color to match the colors you are using for the flowers.

Make sure to check back later this week when I’ll be posting a video showing how to use the dies to create 3D flowers!

For this card, I used the following cardstock:
  • Card Base: Berry Burst – 11″ x 4 1/4″, score at 5 1/2″
  • First Layer: Basic White – 5 1/4″ x 4″, embossed with the Zinnia embossing folder
  • Second Layer: Berry Burst – 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″, cropped with the Deckled Rectangle die
  • Third Layer: Basic White – 4 1/2″ x 3″, cropped with the Deckled Rectangle die and embossed with the Zinnia embossing folder
  • Flowers: Basic White – 4 1/2″ x 3″
  • Inside: Basic White – 5 1/4″ x 4″

In addition to the products listed below, here is information on the Simply Zinnia products, which will be available beginning March 5:
  • Simply Zinnia Stamp Set – #163472 – $25

FB Live Recap: Stippled Roses – Make Your Own DSP!

The Stippled Roses stamp set has some very detailed stamps in it that are perfect for making your own DSP. It’s a simple technique and allows you to make four similar yet slightly different cards at one time. If you weren’t able to watch the live presentation, you can watch the replay here.

For my samples here, I made the cards into birthday and “thinking of you” cards. In the video, I switched it up by using Valentine’s greetings stamped onto heart shapes that I made with a punch. While my cards are made with Real Red cardstock and ink, you could try other colors to make yellow, pink, lavender, or any other color roses – just use coordinating cardstock for your base.

Here are the basic measurements of cardstock you need:
  • Card Base: Real Red – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • First Layer: Basic White – 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Second Layer: Basic Black – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Stamped Layer: Basic White – 10″ x 7 1/2″ – stamp, color then crop into four 5″ x 3 3/4″ pieces. If desired, emboss with the Timeworn Type 3D folder for added texture.
  • Greetings: Scraps of Real Red and Basic White, cropped with label dies or punches of your choice
  • Inside Layer: Basic White – 5 1/4″ x 4″

Here are the products I used to make these cards. If you wish, use a different color of ink for the roses and then use matching cardstock for the base. You can shop with me here if you’d like to purchase any of these products.
