Tutorial: Party Til The Cows Come Home!

This easy to make fun-fold card is almost guaranteed to get this reaction: “Aww! That’s So Cute!” The crispness of Real Red and Whisper White combined with the cute little cow is a real people pleaser of a card.

Cut Cardstock:
  •    Card Base: Real Red – 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
  •    First Layer: Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 4″
  •    Second Layer: Real Red – 5″ x 3 3/4″
  •    Third Layer: Whisper White – 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
  •    Fun-Fold Layer: Real Red – 5 1/2″ x 3 1/4″, score the long side at 2 3/4″
  •    Stamped Layers: Whisper White – 3″ x 2 1/2″

Assembly:

Snail the 5 1/3″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock to the Real Red card base. Snail the 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock to this piece. This is the card front.

Using Real Red ink, stamp the Buffalo Check background stamp on the 4  3/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, then snail to the card front. Remember that because the Buffalo Check stamp is a large stamp, you need to hold the stamp to the cardstock a few seconds longer to give the ink time to transfer.

Fold the 5″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock on the score line. Place two pieces of Tear & Tape on the back side of this piece, then attach to the card front.

Using Memento ink, stamp the cow from the Over The Moon stamp set onto one 3″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Using Memento ink, stamp the ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set above the cow.

Color the cow with Stampin’ Blends using Light Smoky Slate, Dark Petal Pink, and the Basic Black Stampin’ Write MarkerSnail to the front of the folded Real Red cardstock piece.

Inside:

Using Memento ink, stamp the ‘Party Till The Cows Come Home’ sentiment from the Over The Moon stamp set onto the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use Memento ink to stamp the moon shape onto the upper left corner, then color with the Light Daffodil Stampin’ Blends marker. Snail this piece to the inside of the card.

Envelope:

Use Memento ink to stamp the moon shape from the Over The Moon stamp set onto the lower left corner of the envelope and color with the Light Daffodil Stampin’ Blends marker.
