The Heartfelt Bundle is one of the new Valentine sets in the current mini catalog, and when paired with the From My Heart Designer Paper, it can make a gorgeous classic Valentine for someone special in your life! Here’s one that I created that uses lots of layers and traditional colors.
Cut Cardstock:
- Card Base: Whisper White – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- First Layer: Real Red – 5 1/4″ x 4″, cut two
- Second Layer: From My Heart Designer Series Paper, small heart design – 5″ x 3 3/4″ for front
- Inside Second Layer: Whisper White – 5 ” x 3 3/4″
- Third Layer: From My Heart Designer Paper striped design – 3 3/4″ x 1 3/4″
- Scalloped Square: Real Red – 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
- White Stitched Square: Whisper White – 3″ x 3″
- Decorative Strips: Red Foil From My Heart Designer Paper – 3 1/2″ x 3/8″ for front, 3 3/4″ x 3/8″ for inside
- Heart Shapes: Scraps of Whisper White
Assembly:
Use snail to adhere a layer of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Real Red cardstock and the 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Designer Paper to the card front.
Snail the striped piece of Designer Paper to the card front vertically in the center.
Using the second to the last largest scalloped square die from the Layering Squares Framelits, crop the 3 1/4″ square piece of Real Red cardstock. Using the largest square from the Stitched Shapes framelits, crop the 3″ square piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Snail the two squares together. Trim the ends diagonally of the 3 1/2″ red foil strip and snail to the center of the square.
Using Real Red ink, stamp the detailed heart shape from the Heartfelt stamp set to a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the scalloped heart punch.
Use Flirty Flamingo ink to stamp the Happy Valentines Day heart stamp from the Heartfelt stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the heart punch.
Attach Flirty Flamingo heart to the Real Red heart with Dimensionals.
Attach the heart to the square using Dimensionals.
Use the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend marker to color a 3″ piece of Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon.
Form a small loop with the ribbon and attach to the center back of the square. Attach the square to the card front using Dimensionals.
Place a Red Rhinestone in each corner of the white square.
Inside:
Use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment from the Heartfelt stamp set to the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use Real Red ink to stamp some small hearts near the sentiment. Snail the 3 3/4″ Red Foil strip near the top of this piece.
Snail the stamped piece to the remaining piece of Real Red cardstock, then snail to the inside of the card.
Envelope:
Use Real Red ink to stamp a couple of the small hearts from the Heartfelt stamp set to the lower left corner of the envelope.
