Quick Tip: Cleaning Stazon Ink off of Your Stamps

I’ve been using Stazon ink for several years when I am creating stamped projects that I’ll be watercoloring or using water based markers or watercolor pencils. It’s a love-hate relationship! Since you can’t use a water-based ink if you are planning on using other water based techniques with your stamped image, Stazon is the ink of choice.

I use Stazon cleaner when I am cleaning my stamps, but I’ve often found it just a little tedious to have to rub it off with a soft cloth and possibly have to repeat the whole process. That being said, I stumbled across a much easier way to get my stamps clean.

Here’s a stamp with Stazon ink:

 

 

Here’s what it looks like when you’ve put Stazon cleaner on it: 

 

 

Now, here’s the next step which makes will make your life much easier! Squirt regular liquid hand soap on top of the Stazon cleaner!  It may look a bit messy:

 

 

Now all you have to do is rinse it with water and bam!  Clean stamp!

 

 

Pat the stamp dry and you are good to go. Hope this little tip helps you!
