Tutorial: Vintage Tasteful Touches

The Tasteful Touches stamp set has some really pretty images which I have used several times to make cards. The flowers look lovely in just about any color you choose. For this card, I thought I would try using the images to make a more ‘vintage’ looking card, and with these colors, I think it hits the mark!

Cut Cardstock:

Assembly:

Adhere one piece of Rococo Rose cardstock to the card base, then adhere a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to that.

For the stamped 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ Very Vanilla layer, use Crumb Cake ink to stamp the leaf spray from the Tasteful Touches stamp set towards the upper left and lower right portions of the cardstock. Use Rococo Rose ink to stamp the feather image several times going off the cardstock in some areas. If you want a lighter color of the feather, stamp off on a piece of scrap paper once before stamping onto the cardstock. Using Sahara Sand ink, stamp the background image several times onto the cardstock; you may be stamping over the previous images in some spots. Refer to photo for the stamped images.

Use the Tasteful Textile embossing folder to emboss the stamped piece, then adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

Crop the gold foil piece with the rectangular ornate frame from the Ornate Frames dies. Using Crumb Cake ink, stamp the greeting from the Tasteful Touches stamp set onto the 3 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then crop with the die that corresponds with the ornate rectangle.

Attach the greeting  to the gold frame with dimensionals, then attach to the card front with dimensionals.

Use Versamark ink to stamp two flower images onto the 5″ x 2″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and set with heat tool. Color the flowers with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends marker.

Fussy cut the flowers. Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the flowers to the card front, sliding them slightly underneath the greeting. Refer to photo for placement.

Add a few Gilded Gems to the card front for added interest.

Inside:

Adhere the remaining Rococo Rose piece of cardstock to the inside of the card. Use Crumb Cake ink to stamp the leaf spray onto the remaining piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in the upper left corner and lower right corner. Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto the middle of the cardstock. Adhere the completed piece to the inside of the card.

For the envelope, stamp a portion of the leaf spray onto the lower left corner with Crumb Cake ink.

I hope you like this card and that it showed you how versatile this stamp set is. As I was making this, I also thought it would look really different if you use silver embossing powder and Seaside Spray  ink for the feathers and the coordinating cardstock. I may have to try it!
