The tiny poinsettias made from Red Foil are a pretty addition to this card card made with the Curvy Christmas bundle. The traditional red and green Christmas colors really pop out on this card! I love the way the the little holes at the bottom of the curvy die allows just a peek of the cardstock color underneath the white.
Cut Cardstock:
- Card Base: Whisper White – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- First Layer: Real Red – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, cut two
- Second Layer (front): Tis The Season Designer Series Paper – 5 1/4″ x 3″, Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 3″
- Second Layer (inside): Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Inside Strips: Real Red – 5 1/4″ x 5/8″; Tis The Season DSP – 5 1/4″ x 1/2″
- Leaves: Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 2″
- Poinsettias: Scraps of Red Foil
- Envelope Flap: Tis The Season DSP – 6″ x 2 1/4″
Assembly:
Adhere one 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Real Red cardstock to the card base. Adhere the large piece of DSP to the card front near the bottom, leaving a slight border of Real Red.
Use the Curvy Die with the tiny holes to crop the bottom edge of the 5 1/4″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Using Real Red ink, stamp the greeting from the Curvy Christmas stamp set toward the right side of this piece – refer to photo for placement. Emboss this piece with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder, then adhere it to the card front.
Use Shaded Spruce ink to stamp the leaf swag image from the Quite Curvy stamp set onto the 5 1/4″ x 2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color the leaves with light and dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends markers. Crop the image with the corresponding die from the Curvy Dies set, and adhere to the card front with Dimensionals. Refer to photo for placement. (As an alternative – stamp and color the leaf swag directly onto the cropped Whisper White piece BEFORE embossing it.)
Crop six tiny poinsettias from the Poinsettia dies set out of Red Foil paper. Adhere two of the flowers together with glue dots so that you have three poinsettias. attach them to the leaf swag with Dimensionals- refer to photo for placement. Place a medium Gilded Gem on the center of each flower.
Inside:
Adhere the remaining piece of Real Red cardstock to the inside of the card.
Use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment from the Curvy Christmas stamp set to the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere the DSP strip to the Real Red cardstock strip, then attach to the top of the Whisper White piece. Layer the completed piece to the inside of the card.
Envelope:
Adhere the 6″ x 2 1/4″ matching strip of DSP to the flap of the envelope. Fussy cut the excess paper away.
