Tutorial: Silver Evergreen Forest Christmas Card

The Evergreen Embossing Folder has such great detail in it that making a background with it really catches the eye. While it looks great with any cardstock, using foil paper really brings out the design. This card is quick to make but is very elegant!

Cut Cardstock:
  • Card Base: Whisper White – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • First Layer (front): Silver Foil Sheet – 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • First Layer (inside): Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Greeting: 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″

Assembly:

Emboss the Silver Foil piece with the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder and adhere to the card base. I’ve found that using glue works better than Seal or any tape runner since the back of the foil paper is very smooth and glue just seems to adhere better.

Use Versamark ink to stamp the greeting from the “For Unto Us” stamp set onto the small piece of Whisper White cardstock, sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder, and set with the heat tool. Crop with the third largest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies. Adhere to the cardfront with Dimensionals. Place three large rhinestones around the greeting.

For the inside, stamp the sentiments with Versamark onto the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. (I combined two of the sentiments to coordinate with the greeting on the front of the card.) Sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder and set with heat tool. Stamp the small star with Versamark onto the upper left corner of this piece, sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder and set with heat tool.  Adhere the completed piece to the inside of the card.

Use Versamark to stamp the small star to the lower left corner of the envelope, sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder and set with heat tool.
