For my Facebook Live video this week, I had every intention of showing you several projects with the new Friendly Flamingo bundle – however, as we all know, sometimes life gets in the way of good intentions!
At least this time, what “got in the way” of my preparing projects this week was my belated Christmas present, this sweet little bundle of fur! We named him Bentley – he just turned eight weeks old, weighs 2 pounds, and he is such a joy!
That being said, I did manage to get one project done, combining the Friendly Flamingo bundle and the Timeless Tropical stamp set. This bright and cheery card was designed to send just to keep in touch with someone, but it could easily be made into a birthday card as well – just switch the greeting and sentiment.
To make this card you will need the following cardstock pieces:
- Card Base: Basic White 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- First Layer: Pool Party – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8′, cut two
- Embossed Layer: Pool Party – 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Leaves and Vines: Scraps of Granny Apple Green
- Flamingo, Flowers, and Greeting: Scraps of basic White
- Inside Layer: Basic White – 5 1/5″ x 4″
