Yes, I know. I used some “retired” products for this card. My bad.
But I still wanted to share it with you in case you have these products – and also, you can substitute a different embossing folder and label die if you’d like.
I live in an area very close to a state park that has a rather large herd of deer, so they are frequently seen in my yard – usually dining on my flowers or bushes. Yes, they can be destructive to the garden, but they are just so pretty!
For this card, I used the deer image from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set stamped onto a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock with Early Espresso ink. I then fussy cut the deer and adhered it to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, which was cropped with the retired Stitched Labels dies. This, in turn, was adhered to a larger cropped piece from the same die set out of Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with the retired Woodlands embossing folder and adhered that to a Pumpkin Pie card base. I then attached the deer piece with dimensionals.
I added a few small leaves out of Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider cardstock, which I cropped using the Beautiful Leaves dies set.
For the inside, I stamped a sentiment with Pumpkin Pie ink and also a small leaf image on the lower-left corner with Cinnamon Cider ink. I repeated the small leaf image on the corner of the envelope as well.
Next week I will begin sharing with you some Halloween cards and projects using current products from the new mini catalog. Be sure to stop back then!
