Daffodil Afternoon DSP Card

It’s January, so that means there’s a new Sale-a-bration event happening! One of the products that is free with any $50 purchase is the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper. The paper coordinates with the Daffodil Daydream Bundle, but there are so many beautiful designs in this pack of paper that it can be used all by itself.

I have a design for an all-occasion card showcasing the Designer Paper that is simple to make but gives elegant results. You can use whatever greeting you like for the front to customize your card. You can also switch the basic cardstock color to coordinate with whichever DSP you choose.

  • For the card base, score an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock at 4 1/4″.
  • Emboss a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the Gingham embossing Folder and adhere it to a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock.
  • Emboss a 3 1/3″ x 3 1/3″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the Tasteful Textile Embossing folder and set aside.
  • Cut 4 pieces of Daffodil Afternoon DSP measuring 1 3/8″ x 1 3/8″. Adhere them to four pieces of Flirty Flamingo cardstock cut at 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″. Use dimensionals to attach these evenly spaced onto the embossed piece of Basic White cardstock. Attach this piece to the embossed Flirty Flamingo piece with dimensionals. Refer to photo for placement.
  • Tie a piece of White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon around the card front, then attach to the card base.
  • Stamp a greeting of your choice to a scrap of Basic White cardstock and crop with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set, then attach it to the card front with dimensionals.
  • Embellish the greeting with Pastel Pearls. For my greeting, I used a sentiment from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set.
  • For the inside, adhere a 1/2″ x 4″ strip of DSP to a 5/8″ x 4″ strip of Flirty Flamingo, then adhere to the top of a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Stamp with a sentiment of your choice or leave blank to write your own message.

  • For the envelope, apply glue to the flap of the envelope and adhere a 5 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ piece of DSP to it. Trim away the excess DSP.

Here is the list of products I used for this card. You can purchase any of them by shopping with me here, and as always, I truly appreciate your support.
