FB Live Recap: Sweet Candy Canes

Candy canes are the essential Christmas candy, so why not make some cute Christmas cards with candy canes as the focal point? That’s just what I did for my Facebook Live video this week. The Sweet Candy Canes bundle makes it very easy to whip up these cards pretty quickly — great for when you want to make a bunch of cards with little time to do it.

With the holidays approaching, I’ll be making Christmas cards and projects on my videos for the next several weeks. I’m here every Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET, so I hope you will be able to join me then.

For the quick and easy red and white card, you need the following cardstock:
  • Card Base: Real Red – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • First Layer: Basic White – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, cut two
  • Second Layer: Red Glimmer Paper – 4 7/8 x 3 5/8″
  • Third Layer: Basic White – 4 1/4″ x 3″, cropped with the Stitched Rectangle Die
  • Candy Canes: Basic White – 4″ x 3 1/2″
  • Inside Strip: Red Glimmer Paper – 5 3/8″ x 3/8″

For the second card, you will need the following cardstock:

NOTE: These are the colors I used on my sample in the above photo. On my video, I switched the Real Red and Shaded Spruce colors for Cherry Cobbler and Evening Evergreen.

  • First Layer: Real Red – 5 1/4″ x 4″ cut two
  • Second Layer: Basic White – 5″ x 3 3/4″
  • Third Layer: Crumb Cake –  4″ x 3″, cropped with the Scalloped Contour Die
