Tutorial: Merry Marigolds

Mango Melody ink turns these flowers into ‘Merry Marigolds’. The bright color is striking against the Whisper White background, and pearls add just enough ‘bling’ to balance the Baker’s Twine bow.

Cut Cardstock:

Assembly:

Emboss one 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder, then snail to the card front.

Snail the Mango Melody Gingham Designer Series Paper strip to the center of the card front.

Use Old Olive ink to stamp the flower outline image from the Inspiring Iris stamp set three times on the 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, making the center flower slightly taller than the other two flowers.

Use Old Olive ink and the solid leaf/stem stamp to stamp over the stem and leaves flower outline. Use Mango Melody ink to stamp the solid flower image over the flower outline. Snail the stamped piece onto the 3 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Mango Melody cardstock.

Tie a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the stamped piece, and tie a bow slightly off center to the left. Place a large and medium pearl on the upper right corner of the stamped piece. Refer to photo for placement. Use dimensionals to attach this piece to the card front.

Inside:

Use Old Olive ink to stamp the sentiment from the Inspiring Iris stamp set to the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. Using Old Olive and Mango Melody ink, stamp the flower in the lower corner as you did for the focal point on the card front.

Snail the strip of Mango Melody cardstock to the top of the stamped piece. Tie a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the strip and tie into a bow. Snail the completed piece to the inside of the card.

Envelope:

To complete your project, use Old Olive and Mango Melody ink to  stamp a flower as you did before onto the lower left corner of the envelope.
