FB Live Recap: Mini Album/Journal

I remember when I was a young girl how much I liked to keep a small notebook or diary to write or sketch in – so much fun! On my Facebook Live video this week I made this sweet little mini-album from one sheet of Designer Paper and a little cardstock. This is just the perfect size for your purse or for a little girl to journal in. I have a 10-year-old neighbor girl who loves to keep journals, and I think she’d love one of these.

This is a good way to use some of the DSP you have, just choose any pattern you like and use coordinating cardstock.

If you missed the live video, you can watch the replay here!

The measurements for the album are below:

  • Main Album: Designer Paper of your choice – 12″ x 12″, cut it to 8″ x 12″ and save the remaining piece. Score the short side at 4″ and the long side at 3″, 6″ and 9″
  • Cover: Use the remaining piece of Designer Paper and cut it to 8 3/4″ x 4″
  • Page Pieces: Coordinating Color Cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 2 5/8″, cut eight;  Basic White – 3 5/8″ x 2 1/2″, cut eight
  • Pocket Pages: Basic White – 3 5/8″ x 2 5/8″, cut three
  • “Photo Corners” – Scraps of Coordinating color cardstock
  • Embellishment: Scraps of Basic White, Old Olive, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral

In addition to the products listed below, I also used a 1 3/8″ circle punch and some velcro dots. These are the papers I used for my project – feel free to copy my design or substitute your favorite DSP.
