Colorful Mushrooms!

Did you catch my video last Tuesday where I made a card using this image using only Crumb Cake for the stamped image and coloring? Well – here are a couple more cards with that image, only super fun and colorful! Isn’t it amazing how different colors can change the whole look of a project?

If you’d like to recreate these cards, here are the directions.

For the card with the purple card base and pink background:

  • Make a card base with Gorgeous Grape – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Adhere a piece of Basic White cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
  • Next Layer is a piece of Melon Mambo cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″, embossed with the ‘dot’ Basics 3D embossing folder.
  • Crop a 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Daffodil Delight with the largest rectangle Everyday Details die, use the outer portion or “frame-like” piece for this layer
  • Stamped Layer: Basic White – 4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″, stamped and cropped with the largest rectangle Everyday Details die. Use Gorgeous Grape ink to stamp the image.
  • Color the image with Stampin’Blends colors of your choice. For this card, I used Light & Dark Highland Heather, Light & Dark Melon Mambo, Light & Dark Lemon Lolly, Dark Parakeet Party, Light Granny Apple Green, Light & Dark Tahitian Tide, and Light Calypso Coral.
  • Attach the stamped image to the card front using Dimensionals. Add a few Tinsel Gems around the image – I used the blue, pink, and yellow gems.
  • For the inside, cut a piece of basic White at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. If desired, stamp with a sentiment of your choice, then adhere to the inside of the card.

Here are the directions for the card with the Tahitian Tide card base:

  • The card base is Tahitian Tide, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
  • Crop a piece of Parakeet Party cardstock at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. Crop with the “criss-cross” die from the Everyday Details die set, setting the die toward the left side. Refer to the photo for placement. Adhere to the card base.
  • Crop 4 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ pieces of Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight with the largest rectangle die from the Everyday Details set and adhere to the card front, overlapping each other. Refer to the photo for placement.
  • Stamp a 4 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Basic White with Memento ink. Crop with the largest rectangle Everyday Details die.
  • Color the image as desired with Stampin’ Blends markers. The colors I used for this card are listed in the directions for the card above. Adhere to the card front and add a few tinsel gems around the image. I used the blue, pink, and yellow gems on this card.
  • Stamp the greeting from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set on a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Gorgeous Grape ink and crop with the flag die from the Stylish Shapes die set. Adhere to the card front with dimensionals.
  • For the inside, cut a piece of basic White at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. If desired, stamp with a sentiment of your choice, then adhere to the inside of the card.
